Festival Date and Time?

Where is Hyogo Cultural Centre located?

Ground Floor, 20 Kalinda Drive, CITY BEACH WA 6015.

Is the centre located near public transport?

Yes, see the Transperth Timetable 43.

Does the centre have free parking?

Yes. Parking attendants will be present on the day and will direct you to where to safely park your car.

Are there bike racks?

No.

Are baby strollers permitted in the Centre?

Yes.

Is the Centre wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Centre is accessible for wheelchairs provided you park on the ground floor level.

 

 

 

 

 

Hours & Admission

The festival is open from 12pm and closes at 4pm.

Entry fee is $5 per family at the gate of the Hyogo Centre.

You cannot pre pay for your entry. You can only pay for entry on the day of the festival.

 

Entry & Security

There will be security guards at the entry gate and at the festival to ensure the safety for all families and children. 

 

Costume Hire

You must register your child for costume hire before the festival.  Please look at the Kids Costume Hire page on this website for futher information and registration forms.

Please see attached Registration from. You much register before Monday the 8th of September.

Registration per child is $20 for the cost of putting on the costume.

 

 

Photographs

There will be a professional photographer available to take photos of the children in their costumes inside the Hyogo Centre. 

 

My  child already has a costume, are we allowed to have photographs taking inside the Hyogo centre

also?

Yes, please send an email letting us know your name and age of the child and we can put you on our registration list for what time you can have your photographs taken.

 

Will there be food available at the festival?

Yes, there will be food market stalls available at the festival selling Japanese Savory and Sweet foods. All drinks at the festival will be non-alcoholic. This is an alcohol free festival.

 

Will there be games and activities available for the children?

Yes, there will be games run by the Japanese Playgroup mothers and community organisations.

 

Will there be tables and chairs available at the festival?

Yes, but it is recommended to bring your own picnic chairs if you'd like to relax for awhile.

 

Will there be shade and weather protection at the festival?

Yes, the majority of the festival area will be shaded by a big marquee incase of rain. All stalls and stage

areas are protected from the weather by the marquee.

 

Is there first aid at the festival?

Yes, there will be a first aid area at the festival if there is a need.

 

Will there be a free shuttle bus service for the festival?

Unfortunately, there is no free transport to the festival. Please research the bus route and also look at the festival map which is under the Location heading of this website.

 

Will there be entertainment at the festival?

Yes, there will be musical entertainment at the festival where the children can interact with the performes.

 

Can I volunteer to help at the festival?

Yes, we welcome you to volunteer at the Shichi Go San Festival. Please look at our contact page and send us an email or call the festival phone number.  Our Festival Volunteer Coordinator will get to you.

 

Can my company sponsor the Shichi Go San Festival?

Yes, the Shichi Go San Festival is a Not for Profit Festival and we welcome sponsorship from companies or organisations where their brand aligns with the purpose of helping children.

 

Are there Bank ATMs at the Festival/Can I get cash out at the Festival?

Please ensure you bring enough cash to the festival to pay the $5 entry fee and to purchase Japanese foods and crafts for sale at the markets.

 

Will the festival go ahead if it is raining?

Yes, the festival will be protected by a Marquee, so the festival will go ahead even if it is raining.
